Desirable Qualification for Admission in B.Ed Colleges in Bihar.
Desired Merit norms set by Bihar Government
In Bihar, there are four B.Ed colleges, these B.Ed colleges are located in the four Districts viz; Muzaffarpur, Chapra, Bhagalpur and Sharsha. According to the norms of National Education Council the teacher in the colleges must be a Trained one. so, after reviewing this step, Bihar Government has taken a decision to fill the 100 seats of each colleges for the session 2013-14 by the following educational qualification rules :
- In B.Ed, Admission will be granted to those only who have Passed STET.
- Those who are untrained in any School, need to qualify STET.
- Only STET Passed Candidates can opt for B.Ed.
There were several request to change this criteria but after deep consideration Education of Bihar came to the fact that
STET is compulsory.
