SJVN Silver Jubilee Merit Scholarship Scheme
SJVN, a Mini Ratna and Schedule ‘A’ Central Govt. Public Sector undertaking has been implementing its corporate Social Responsibility plans to make meaningful contribution towards sustainable socio economic development of communities. SJVN Foundation has thus introduced “SJVN SILVER JUBILEE MERIT SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME” for the meritorious students passed out plus two Examinations 2013 which aims at Inculcating competitive spirit among students and to nurture their academic talent. The Scheme is being implemented through HIMACHAL CONSULTANCY ORGANISATION LTD. (HIMCON) on behalf of SJVN Ltd.
A total of 150 students, 85 from Himachal Pradesh, 25 from Uttrakhand, 25 from Bihar and 15 from Arunachal Pradesh will be awarded scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month for the entire duration of their of their next higher studies after class 12th i.e. Bachelors degree in Engineering, Medical, Arts/ Science/Commerce/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Business Administration / Computer Application/ LLB ( up to 5 years course) etc.
Eligibility for the Scheme : Students Securing 60% or above percentage of marks or its equivalent grade in class 12th Exam in any discipline from a school under state Education Board, CBSE, or ICSE in 2013 in the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar and Arunachal Pradesh can Apply. There will be no domicile restriction for the students.
Receipt of any other scholarship will not be eligible for getting this scholarship.
How to Apply : The Application can be downloaded from this website, or, www.himcon.org or, www.scholarship.himcon.org. The duly filled in application for should be accompanied by two passport size photographs of the student and attested marks sheet of class 12th exam should be sent to The Assistant General Manager, HIMCON, 4th Floor, New Bridge View Estate, The Mall Shimla – 171001 on or before 27th January 2014.
